Providing technologies to help entertainment businesses give more personal service and increase loyalty
a. Software to capture user identification and/or credit card number in central database
b. User is given a passive RFID bracelet or card that is tied to their data
c. User makes purchases from staff that carry wireless handheld devices, taking orders, identifying customers by name (displayed on handheld by reading RFID bracelets or cards – close range only) , and charging services and products directly to user’s ‘account’ by reading their bracelet
d. Customer preferences are stored and referenced by staff for more personalized service
e. Increased ease of spending money will benefit business while customer receives better service
f. Opportunity to collect email information for business to deliver special offers to valued patrons
Why it will work: Entertainment businesses are always trying to give more personal service; there is no existing provider of this type of system for entertainment businesses; low hardware costs; subscription to system could keep initial investment low while providing long-term reoccurring revenue to company
