Allow product manufacturers to contract a mobile marketing and sales force
a. Kiosk can be placed in mall, sporting arena, etc. to demonstrate consumer products
b. Kiosk is equipped with portable satellite internet access to place customer orders with the help of the kiosk salesperson
c. Inventory is not kept at kiosk, rather all sales are internet based and shipped from company’s distribution center
Why it will work: Consumer product companies have no direct marketing capabilities (restricted to advertising and retail sales); consumer products often need demonstration to win customers; tens of millions of dollars are spent on marketing a specific product and this would be an effective additional marketing and sales channel; especially effective for expensive or complex products
