Centralized technology sourcing for education systems

How to make it happen:

a. Acquire contracts with state and local governments to supply schools with technology at discounted prices

b. Source products from low-cost foreign suppliers

c. Forge partnerships with foreign suppliers to ensure low cost and increase domestic market share

d. Use only open-source software on each computer

e. Push more technology at affordable rates into schools

f. Products include: projectors, desktop computers, data servers, printers, Tablet PCs, wireless communication devices

Why it will work: School systems everywhere are either overpaying for necessary technology or cannot afford to make basic investments in technology; takes advantage of low-cost foreign manufacturing; low inventory; large contracts; opportunity to have significant impact in the educational system.
