Give medical office waiting room patrons something educational to watch and make money from advertisers

a. Use a web enabled flat screen inside waiting rooms

b. Provide healthy living tips and other relevant health information

c. Instruct people on how to ask their doctor questions and self-diagnose

d. Charge companies to brand the content or be and on-screen advertiser

Why it will work: Waiting rooms are in need of “entertainment” for the increasing number of patrons. Health-related content would be relevant to the viewers and accepted by the office managers. Sponsors could range from the obvious pharmaceutical advertisers to consumer products such as Lysol. Branded content can be provided by sponsors.

a. Evolution of blood pressure testing devices and existing diabetic tools

b. Blood would be taken with disposable needle and deposited onto glass testing slide

c. Microscope would analyze blood for irregularities and diseases

d. Software would compute microscope images against reference database

e. Printout of results would be created for user

Using the low cost foreign medical service providers to insure domestic workers for less

Introduction to the concept:
a. Cost of major medical procedure can be a tenth of the cost to perform in a foreign country by qualified doctors, as it is to perform in the US at a local hospital

b. Drugs can be sourced from low-cost providers and dispersed to domestic customers

c. Cost to employers for medical insurance could be cut in half

Why it will work: Rising cost of medical insurance is crippling employers and causing many to stop insuring workers; innovative options are needed in the stagnant industry; takes advantage of existing foreign providers of medical services for western nations; centralized foreign sourcing for prescription drugs will cut costs tremendously
